People encounter a constant stream of claims online — in posts, headlines, videos, and forwarded messages. Working out what holds up takes time, context, and skills that aren’t always easy to access. The goal was to make thoughtful evaluation more approachable for everyday users, while respecting their privacy.
We designed and built ClaimCheck as an interactive, AI-powered platform. It pairs AI-assisted analysis with an approachable, education-focused experience that helps users take a closer look at claims and better understand what they read. Data privacy shaped the application’s design from the start.
ClaimCheck was developed through work associated with Los Angeles County’s Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion (ARDI) initiative. This reference describes the project’s origin and does not imply endorsement by Los Angeles County.
